I am interested in getting a Toyota Hilux in the future as I’m an outdoor photographer and the pick-up truck best suits my needs. I want to get a tent back for it (useful for photographing landscapes and animals in the rain!), but I can’t seem to find any tent backs that fit the bed of the Hilux. The only maternity scrubs ones I can find when doing a Google search are for the Tacoma and the Tundra, and I’m wondering if one of those is actually an alternative name for the Hilux? Does anyone know about this?

Also, a lot of these Tundra and Tacoma backs seem to come from the US, and I don’t really want to be paying for all that shipping. Can anyone recommend a stockist from the UK that sells Hilux-fitting truck tents?

Can I tow my Tent Camper behind a Rental moving truck?

I am moving from Illinois to Texas next month. I already have my pickup truck in Texas with me. I am having my wife and family driving a moving truck down here to complete the move. I have a small (1700lbs) tent camper that I was planning having them tow behind the rental truck. Is this going to be a big deal? I don’t remember if the trucks had a standard hitch setup on it or not. Thanks for your answers!
Those answers are great, but not exactly what I am looking for. I want to tow my camper without renting a tow dolly or additional trailer. I guess I am asking if they have a standard hitch on the back or what? BTW I will be using a Budget or Penske rental truck.

I’ve moved with U-Hauls a number of times, and I’ve pulled two cars, one on a trailer, the other on a car caddy. I had no problem either time.

Check the hitch on your trailer and the ball on the truck to make sure they match. If they do, you’re good to go.
