I need to make a dome tent look like an igloo for a Christmas parade float. Any ideas?

A white sheet over it & a cardboard entrance tunnel, if u can get fake cotton snow ( made from cotton batton) cover it with it last for effects

Do you already have a dome tent? Is it white? If not, you need to paint/dye it white, or really light blue. Then paint on the lines to look like big ice bricks.

Put the tent up then get cotton wool and put that on the sides, then with a black marker, or blue mark out outlines of bricks.

I wouls suggest using doublr sided tape, or if you don’t care about the tent, then glue is good

white styrofoam from lowes or home depot , it comes in 1 or even 1/2 inch panels…
    (used for insulation)
cut into the right size pieces and glue it all together

You could try using polystyrene packing material if you can get it or bubble wrap. Go to a large retailer near you and explain what it is for and they would probably be glad to give it to you just to get rid of it as it probably takes up a lot of space in their dumpster.

buy quilt batting and cut into block sizes, glue to tent, realistic looking and you can stagger the blocks by placing the underneath ones a couple of inches into the top one.

use a tupperware bowl (or any other kind of bowl) turn it upside down and cover it in paper mache’. let it dry, when its hardened pop out the bowl and you will be left with the "shell" of the bowl which you can then cut the door out of to make the "igloo"
