How many 6′ tables will a 10×10 tent sit?

I need tents for the backyard for a shower and they are so expensive, to rent.. I seen some 10×10 tents on sale for 40.00, how many 6′ tables do you think will sit under one tent..

One, if you figure room to walk around and for chairs then you will just get one 6′ table in a 10′x10′ tent.

You might be able to squeeze 3 — but I would say 2 would be the most comfortable. I’m going to assume the tables are about 2 feet wide and you’ll want at least 2 feet for chairs and seating on each side. As long as the sides are open you can use the exposed area for chair wiggle room if necessary. So you could maybe squeeze in 3 — two parallel to one another and one the other direction.

The diagonal of a 10×10 foot tent is just over 14 feet, so you can probably fit 2 6" round tables in there, but it will be really tight with chairs.

The answer is a good, strong "it depends." You don’t specify if the tables are cafeteria style or if they are rounds. You also don’t say if it is strictly a sit down event or if people will mingle. If the tables are rectangular and if you expect people to mingle, with minimum chance of getting wet in a rain storm, I’d stick to one per tent. As one of the other people said, you will need room for chairs. If they are rounds, you can probably get away with two on the diagonal. The two people who are back to back may feel a little pinched, but everybody else should be OK. If it’s a pretty day, with no chance of rain, you may want to consider a T-shape with rectangular tables. With about two feet between the two legs of the T, you will have enough room to accommodate a few more people.
You’re right. Tents are very expensive. I was looking for a cheaper vendor when I stumbled across your question.
